Ryan Pasborg was running late for work on a February morning in Jamestown, Wyoming, when he spotted smoke and flames coming from a house along his route.
He pulled over.
Inside the burning home was a young mother and her son. Pasborg got them both out safely before the fire spread further.
The Green River Fire Department recognized Pasborg publicly for his bravery — a man who had every practical reason to keep driving and chose not to.
The mother and her son went home because a stranger was running late and decided his schedule could wait.
